Hands for help volunteer Programs

ORPHANAGE ASSISTANT (CHILD CARE)

Each year, hundreds of children leave poor villages to find work in cities. The ILO estimates that 2.60 million children in Nepal are involved in varied economic activities. Among them, many are working in dangerous circumstances, at times with even their young lives at risk. Often these children are deprived of their most basic rights, including the right to education.

Most of children are abandoned at an early age, from all regions. As a result, most of these needy children are deprived of education and find work as child laborers in restaurants, factories, hotels, slaves, and as trash collector. These disadvantaged children need attention, love, care, and the opportunity to further their education.

Teaching English to Buddhist Monks

Nepal is the birthplace of the Lord Buddha.  However it used to be a Hindu Nation before restoration of 2nd democracy, 2005. There are a huge number of Buddhist people majority in Nepal according to the then government census, 2001. Now Nepal became a pilgrimage destination for Buddhist follower from throughout the world.
There are number of monasteries, schools where Buddhism philosophy is taught.

ENVIRONMENT AND CONSERVATION

This organization aim to mobilize its volunteers to participate in activities and programs in order to protect the environmental problems created by poverty, unemployment and illiteracy etc.As the children are the future of the nation, so we aim to provide environmental education to the children. So that, they will develop skills for effectively tackling problems related to the local environment.

Schools Construction and Renovation

As a construction volunteer participants will be involved in setting up or renovating a library, desk, bench, chair, blackboard, play ground, toilet, dustbin and water tap etc. Volunteers will be working along side local people, school teachers, staff members and kids (in 9th and 10th grade).
